Feature request: labels on chart itself rather than legend

I'm making a pie chart with many slices. Is there a way to put the
labels on the slices of the pie themselves rather than the legend?
This would make the chart easier to read because the labels would be
closer to the associated slices of the pie, and the identification
would not depend on fine color distinctions (which makes this an
accessibility issue for colorblind people).
