Copying and pasting between Gnumeric notebooks

Hi,

Using Gnumeric 1.6.3, under Debian Sarge/Etch with Gnome 2.14.3.

I'm trying to copy and paste cells between two Gnumeric notebooks. I
select the cells I need in one, copy them, try to paste them into the
other and get an error: "Unparsable xml in clipboard." I'm then
presented with the Text Import Configuration dialog. Since I'm trying to
copy and paste a lot of formulae, this isn't particularly helpful.

Is it possible to do this?
