Hi
I've been using Gnumeric more and more at work, and find it a very
decent application.
I submitted Bug 349457 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349457
<http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=349457>which has now been
patched. We are hoping to get some of our staff using Gnumeric, but we
desperately need that patch to be incorporated in a new Windows version.
I am not competent to compile a new version from source, and wondered
when we may get a new version of Gnumeric 1.62 or 1.7 series for Windows
as there hasn't been a release since May?
On another matter, I could not find any info wrt to macro support,
please could you tell me what the current situation is please?
Altogether, I am very impressed though by Gnumeric, particularly the
responsiveness that the Developers show to bug fixing, and the Polar
Graph plot facility which neither OOo or Excel currently have. Very
important for us Engineers ;-) !
The patch is one out of several possibilities we have to fix this
problem. We are currently thinking about implementing splines in other
graph types as well, and we must be very careful about what we are doing
if we do not want to have compatibility problems later. That's why the
patch has not been applied yet. So new version would not help at the
moment.
