Does version 1.4.3 have scripting support?

Greetings.
I tried to compile the latest version of Gnumeric but libgoffice from
Mandriva's repository was too old.
The repository has Gnumeric 1.4.3. Does that version have scripting
support?
I want to be able to automate spreadsheet operations as one does in
other programmes with macros.
