Here's a fix for a silent failure to save to a directory name containing
Latin1 characters. (The failure is not completely silent. There is an
assertion failure reported to stderr, but no error is reported through the
UI.)
I'd like to fix this on the gnumeric-1-4 branch as well.
Suggestions for a better error message text are appreciated.
