Hi,
I have an xls file here which I get from one of my companies providers
which crashes gnumeric, and gets treated as a text file in oocalc. The

This is pre-OLE era BIFF, ie it was generated by or for an Excel more than
a decade old. I don't have a Gnumeric source tree at the moment, so I can't
help immediately.
