hangs at startup

Hi
Gnumeric hangs at startup, and no messages at terminal.
After start, soon becomes 0% cpu.
this is with:
gnumeric/testing uptodate 1.2.13-4
Debian/testing
Linux 2.6.6 #1 Wed Nov 24 14:42:12 EST 2004 i686 GNU/Linux
