Running Gnumeric from the command line or Select from GUI Menu the SuSE 9 Pro returns an error while trying to open and produce a graph

Hi there , I have just installed and upfrade a g=few workstations from 
SuSE 8.2 to SuSE 9 Pro .

Running Gnumeric from the command line or Select from GUI Menu the SuSE 
9 Pro returns an error while trying to open and produce a graph from the 
Launch Chart Guru that was created in SuSE 8.2 version of Gnumeric .

I unfortunaelty left my the error notes at work - Something like Gtk Puf 
Critical Error as below

Gtk-Puf CRITICAL **: file gtkp***.c: line 582 (gtk**): assertion
`main_loops != NULL' failed.

Plz advice best place to look inyo why this is happening as Im about to 
upgrade all 8.2 to SuSE 9 Pro not until I figure hats going on.
