Just found a difference in behaviour of the RANK() function:
If the list of numbers (the "ref" argument) contains a non-
numeric field, this is silently ignored by Excel (and OpenOffice).
With gnumeric (1.2.12) I get a "#VALUE!" error.
While this looks correct formally, it has the effect that some
(sloppy) worksheets work with Excel but not with gnumeric.
