Considering engineering units, kilo, Mega, Giga, etc. or, in other
words, sets of three orders of magnitude. So 10,000 metres becomes 10
kilometres. Is there a way to convince Gnumeric to format a number in a
cell in this fashion?
I believe that Jody was discussing creating a format of Kilometers and
such.
10,000 => 10.0E3
or
654,380,000 => 654.4E6
Regarding this option, I think it should be possible, although I don't
know how. For some reason, my help pages don't work, so I can't chek the
formatting rules in the help. Try looking in the help, about costume
formating.
Yours,
Uri David
