Thanks for the info. Finally looked at the code (not trivial for me as
I'm an accountant ;-) and discovered that I can use '=cell("coord",xy)'
to return the current sheet's name. Not perfect Excel compatibility,
but I don't care. Gnumeric is a sweet program.

There are proposals for adding this to the CELL function, but it has
not been implemented. Writing a custom function for it would be
trivial. Have a look in gnumeric/plugins/fn-info/functions.c there
is some vba in a comment.
