1) open
2) file -> save as
3) choose "97/2000/xp"
4) ok

But if you click on a cell first, it'll save.


Doh!
Fixed.

selection export was handling multiple ranges, but accidentally
allocated only enough memory for 1...

How that has lasted this long is a mystery.
