splitted panes

Hi all,

I have searched this information on gnumeric but did not found it in the
archives.
Gnumeric supports freezed panes, but seems to not support splitted
panes. (am I right ?)
Freezed panes is already a good thing, but it is more limited than
splitted panes and I really prefer using the latter one.

Is it planed to add this feature ?
Will it be in the next 1.3.x serie ?
