Thanks for the interest of Gnumeric's solver!

I had trouble solving the following LP problem 
within Gnumeric (1.0.9, Linux kernel 2.4.18):


If you want to use the solver don't use 1.0.x series any more.  The
solver in 1.1.x is much better.  I tried your problem using 1.1.16 and
it produced (0,0,0,0,65536) as the result.
