Problem loading excel sheet

I have an excel sheet which is failing to load for me.

gnumeric version is 1.0.6 on a debian sid machine.

The error I'm getting is as follows.  I'd prefer not to post the
offending spread-sheet to the list, but i'll mail a copy to anyone who
wants to chase up the problem.
