Your timing is excellent. The range selection code was working but
had some rough edges in 0.64. Jon K?re took up the task of
improving the code and smoothing out the irritating bits. It is
mostly complete in CVS. The next release should be better.
(2) Graphs:
Soon. I intend to focus on graphs after the 0.65 release. They
will definitely be available before the 1.0 freeze in July.
(3) File access speed.
A couple of minor adjustments have gone into CVS that should improve
things. If you'd like please send us a copy of the sheet and we can
see where the bottleneck is. My bet is that you were falling prey
to my simplistic style range defragmentation. I was only coalesce
vertically which did not handle sheet that had formatted full
columns well. CVS has a small patch to add a horizontal pass too
and seems to be sufficiently better that we can delay adding style
garbage collection until 1.1 development.
