sampling

You somebody please try the following:

Enter 1, 2, 3, etc. to 10 in order and then use the sampling data 
analysis tool to take a random sample of size 3. Repeat the latter a few 
times. Do you always get 1, 2, 3?   Either my set-up is messed up or we 
using quite a bit of code to simply pick an initial sequence as a 
sample. :-(
