Sum of times in HH:MM format

Is there any way to get gnumeric show the sum of times in
HH:MM format? For example 1:40 + 2:22 = 4:02

I select the values in the column I keep the times in and get
some odd floating number at the sum field at the bottom.

I hope it's not in FAQ :-)

P.S. there is an odd thing about highligting: I click on the first element, then
shift left click on the last. All the rows but the first one are highlighted.
The result of calculation is correct
nevertheless.
