GAL for gnumeric 0.57

Hello,
When i ran the script configure, it stopped with this message :
checking for Gnome App libraries (GAL) >= 0.01... configure: error:
Did not find GnomeAppLib (GAL) installed
Where can i find this library ? Nothing with this name (gnome.org etc.)
