Re: Bug 663299 - Bullet indentation not preserved when copying from gnote and pasting into other apps

Hi,

I'm no C++ developer, but I did manage to hack my way to fixing the
(superficially) similar bug 674904. Can anyone give any pointers
to:

It should be all about properly formatting things for the clipboard,
so that other apps understand the bullets, and the other way around.

- whether this bug (663299) is likely to be easy to fix, or is it
in fact far more complex?

Unfortunately, I know very few about how clipboard works (in
particular with rich text), hence I can't tell how hard it is.

- where one might look to start trying to tackle it?

noteeditor.cpp should be the place for this. We don't do anything
specific for copy paste, it works out of the box with exception for
some rich formatting. You probably should connect to copy-paste
signals in there and do some extra work.

I might look into this bug, but not this release cycle as we're less
than month away and I have plenty of other things to do.
