Yes it is related to the locale
export LC_TIME=fr_FR@euro
Does not work
export LC_TIME=en_US@utf8
works

Thanks for trying. However, it works for me.
What is your locale? Is it fr_FR?
I might try that too or it just might be a bug in Glibmm or Glib, that
has been fixed already in Fedora, but not in Ubuntu. Also, I use 32bit
version.
