The intent of this request was to check, whether these patches are not
terribly flawed.

Anyway, you're probably right - we need more releases, to have a better
testing and acquire more feedback. Debarshi, could you spent a couple of
hours and make a preview release? We will have a new release after this
GNOME cycle, right? It would be nice to have some more testing.

One more thing, I'd appreciate, if anyone took a look at port of panel
applet:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=639779
Specifically, I'm most worried about the build system changes. They are
based on examples on porting page. Hubert, maybe you could take a look
at them? Your comments are very valuable.
