Issue when compiling under RHEL 5.3 64bits

Hi list, 

 I'm trying to compile gnote under RHEL 5.3 64bits and i got an error : 
#./configure 
... 
checking whether the g++ linker (/usr/bin/ld -m elf_x86_64) supports shared libraries... yes
checking dynamic linker characteristics... GNU/Linux ld.so
checking how to hardcode library paths into programs... immediate
checking for LIBGLIBMM... configure: error: Package requirements (glibmm-2.4) were not met:

No package 'glibmm-2.4' found
...

But glibmm is installed :

# rpm -ql glibmm24
/usr/lib64/libglibmm-2.4.so.1
/usr/lib64/libglibmm-2.4.so.1.0.24
/usr/lib64/libglibmm_generate_extra_defs-2.4.so.1
/usr/lib64/libglibmm_generate_extra_defs-2.4.so.1.0.24
/usr/share/doc/glibmm24-2.12.8
... 

 What can i try to solve this issue ?
