Hello.
I apologize if this has been discussed here previously, but why is there
no panel applet support in the gnomemm package, lack of interest,
coders, or some technical obstical? I am aware of panel-- which is
here: http://cactus.rulez.org/projects/panelmm/ but I cannot seem to get
the darn thing to build anymore even against older gtk/gnomemm
releases. For sure it is too old to be useful with anything related to
Gnome2, which is also disappointing. I was wondering if there are any
projects offering Gnome2 c++ bindings for the panel? Or is it planned
in some future version? I'd be willing to help where I can.
I wrote a cute little caller id applet, which is a client to the python
cidd daemon from tummy.com some time ago, and decided to dust it off. It
is basically a ripoff of the odometer applet from Gnome v1, but towards
the end contained possibly no code from it. I wrote it using gtkmm, and
panel--, which uses gnomemm. AFAIK to use my code with Gnome2, I need to
drop c++, which I'm not all that comfortable doing. :(
Thanks in advance for any suggestions others here may have.
