Hi Damien, hi list!
I have SuSE 10.0 running and ekiga 1.99.1 compiled. It works very well, but
whenever I update gconf2, I get the nasty "gconf_test_age" error.
The configuration files /etc/opt/gnome/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults/apps/ekiga
and /etc/opt/gnome/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults/schemas/apps/ekiga disappeared
for example while updating gconf2 2.12.1-11 to version 2.12.1-12.
Starting ekiga then is followed by the gconf_test_age error.
After reinstalling pwlib, opal and ekiga, ekiga starts up without any problem
again.
I am not sure which one is to blame: ekiga or gconf2 ?
Unfortunately the gnomemeeting FAQ 8.6:
"The first thing to do is to try to change the permissions with:
$ chmod -R 4755 /etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults/
$ killall -9 gconfd-2"
didn't work.
So I have a workaround, but it is not really comfortable.
Wolfgang
