Hi, I'm trying to compile Ekiga on my Gentoo box. I'm getting errors
compiling Opal. I would install binaries, but it's Gentoo. I get the
error: "cc1plus: out of memory allocating 141255700 bytes after a
total of 13856768 bytes". My box has 256 MB of RAM and 512 MB of swap
space, which (after a little googling) appears to be enough.
`top` reveals
"Mem: 255728k total, 27816k used, 227912k free, 952k buffers
Swap: 506036k total, 5164k used, 500872k free, 11224k cached"
after this error. Is my swap even being used? I should, after all,
have enough resources to handle it.
Anybody else have this problem and know a way to get it working?
