If I remember correctly (switched from OSS to ALSA two years ago), the PCI 128 
has two DACs and one ADC. Both DACs are mixed together with no possibilitie 
to change the levels, and both together become the "PCM" channel. The first 
ADC and the DAC are "dsp0", the second "DAC" is "dsp1".

Because you have no hardware representing this devices?

Maybe because dsp1 is playback only?
