i've compiled the new pwlib - no problems thanks, and openh323

and installed them

i tried configuring gnome-0.99.0 with

./configure --prefix=/usr
make

and got this error....

gnomemeeting.cpp: In member function `BOOL
GnomeMeeting::DetectDevices()':
gnomemeeting.cpp:320: no matching function for call to
`PVideoInputDevice::
   GetDeviceNames(gchar*&)'
/usr/include/ptlib/videoio.h:316: candidates are: virtual PStringList
   PVideoDevice::GetDeviceNames() const

clearly i've not read all the options properly...
