Have you checked with lsof?

You named it, all those programs are only using output and never
input/output, so being full-duplex or not is not a problem.

Buy a decent soundcard after having checked yours is not full-duplex.
However I doubt your soundcard is not full-duplex, you most probably
have misconfigured your ALSA installation.
