Re: [GnomeMeeting-list] registering to an ILS through thegnugkproxy (gatekeeper registered users script inside)

Actually it will also help if you don't have other connection beside h323
with the person and she/he uses just your gatekeeper to register. You could
check anytime if/who is at one time connected to your gatekeeper. I am
running the gnugk without ldap for now. Also this is usefull if you don't
want the gnugk status port 7000 to be opened to the outside. I did a small
script for it. If anyone wants it, they can feel free to use (GPL) :). It is
rudimentary, so some might want to extend it so it would look nicer. It also
has a small workaround since the telnet connection to the port 7000 doesn't
return any prompt. You might want to edit the internal ip address of your
gnugk anyway. You might also want to add some sort of log in if you don't
want everybody to see who is connected to your gatekeeper. It uses the
Perl_Telnet module Telnet.pm. Place it in your cgi-bin or perl directory and
rename it to *.pl if necessary to match your server config. Please don't
comment on the quality of the code:). Since I didn't program perl in the
last few years, so this is the product of the little that I still remember.
:)

Best regards,
Adrian
