Funny, but on my Mandrake 9.0 had the same thing. It would start only on
second attempt. First attempt would just show as trying to initialize in
Taskbar and then after a few secs would dissapear. I waited up to 10 minutes
and it never showed up. A second attempt to start it would work and no
probs. :/ Now that I trashed my installation cannot test it again. :)
Anyway, it never really bothered me... I always thought it might have
something to do with the system not being fully initialized (trying to start
gnomemeeting as soon as the desktop shows after boot). Can't remember now if
I had same thing under KDE and/or Gnome.
