Easiest possibility should be installing 2.4.20 from
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/mantel/next/RPM/
Either install one of the precompiled kernels or build your own from
kernel-source-2.4.20.SuSE-4.i586.rpm

This has pwc version 8.10, I think you have to install pwcx too (from 
www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam/)
