If this is the 8.10 driver then no this does not work well with the 4000
pro camera watch my bug report:

Also take a look at the site:
http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam/

For information about the driver of pwc. Now if you are using 8.10 you
will need to load pwcx to get the video running.

So using the settings specified on the site help for the installation of
the kernel support and using the pwcx driver will give you video.

Try it at least this is what I did and it works good. Otherwise try to
use the 8.8 driver for the camera.
