  Hi Damien,

Thanks for the tip, it got it started and past that problem (though what it
really needed was ln -s /usr/lib/pwlib/lib/libpt_linux_x86_r.so.1.4.9
/usr/lib/libpt.so).

Now I have a whole *new* problem that comes up <sigh>...somewhere during the
compilation(?) I now get this:

                 from /opt/gnome2/include/libgnomeui-2.0/gnome.h:5,

Since this stuff might as well be Chinese handwriting to me, it makes no
sense to me. Hopefully you or someone else will know what this new problem is
and a way around it too.
I'm sorry if this is a lot of questions and problems, but it'd just be easier
for me to have an rpm of GM 0.96.1, than to have to download all the tarballs
of all the dependencies and have them all in /usr/local (especially since all I
have is dial-up). Maybe one good thing of all this will happen...I'll
eventually have an rpm for SuSE 8.2 and I can send you a copy of it for others
to download and use? heh heh

  TIA (again)

  John
