The first number (upload) always remains on zero: so nothing is picked up from the microphone. The second number (download) does vary, but nothing comes out of the speakers. This is why I am thinking it's an audio problem, rather than a transmission problem. > Xmms works fine doesn't mean that sound is correctly setup. But it does mean the sounddriver can at least play back. Up until very recently the AWACS driver in ALSA was broken and couldn't do even that. > There is a long, very long answer in the FAQ about possible audio > problems in bad configurations and what to do to solve them. I am using the openh323 libraries confirmed as working earlier. I am also using esd (I recompiled pwlib for esd). It connects to esd fine, as does xmms when used simultaneously. Still silence.
