[GnomeMeeting-list] RE: Gnomemeeting-list digest, Vol 1 #317 - 2 msgs

A normal voice modem is not suitable for gateway.most voice modem only
support half-duplex voice. But a speakerphone modem will be full-duplex.

The bug fix is not in the CPIA driver itself, but there is a workaround
in latest releases of the OpenH323 libraries. If you install GM 0.93, it
should work for you with this driver without having to open xawtv
before.

Hi

Well, actually it is worth thinking about this type of technology.
There is no reason why we cannot write an open source version of this
program
ourselves.
It would infact be very similar to the GPLed openISDNgw program.

If you have a voice/fax/modem, you can even get away with not using a
sound
card and you can make a telephone to H323 gateway for the price of a
modem.

All you need to understand are the AT codes for handling voice with a
voice/fax/data modem.
