Sorry if this is slightly off-topic ...
I'm trying to set up my creative webcam (ct6840) on freebsd 4.7-RELEASE. It
seems to be working ok - apps like 'vid' can take a snap.
Unfortunately gnomemeeting only lets me choose between /dev/bktr and
/dev/meteor for the camera device, and my cam identifies itself as ugen0
(just the generic usb device). Looking at the man pages for bktr and meteor,
neither of these would seem suitable.
The best I could think of was to try making /dev/bktr0 a symbolic link to
/dev/ugen0, but that didn't work.
Looking through google, it seems a few other people have had this problem
too. Unfortunately noone seemed to have an answer.
Cheers in advance
pete
