Hi,
 You note that people can see you, and hear you, which suggests that
the adsl box can do h323 proxying.

Can you make all of the following changes:

 a)turn off fast start
 b)disable H245 Tunnelling
 c)set the rtp port minimum to 49604,
 d)set the rtp port maximum to 65000

it should work - I have used (successfully) m1122 nokia adsl boxes with
 these settings.

I apologise, I have no idea where you find these options in GnomeMeeting.
My experience has been with ohphone.

Please report back on how it goes.
