Btw, it is /cvs/gnome and not /cvs/gnome/, try and it will work.
Another easier possibility if to download it on my computer
(ftp://linuxzone.ath.cx), sorry to have forgotten to mention it.

That way, you will be sure to have the latest version.
(still a bit buggy)
