hallo
i have installed the gnomemeeting for the mandrake 8.2 distribution
(openh323_1-1.7.4-1mdk.i586.rpm, gnomemeeting-0.12.2-1mdk.i586.rpm,
pwlib1-1.2.5-1mdk.i586.rpm)
i use a midiman soundcard and an usb vesta webcam. both audio and video
devices are working normaly.
my problem is that everything works fine when i only use the soundcard
in/output device (/dev/dsp). but i would like to use the microphone of my usb
webcam. it is also normaly working under /dev/dsp1. i can test this with
ecasound -i /dev/dep1 -o test.wave
also the this simple io-redirection tets works,
cat /dev/dsp1 > /dev/dsp
i can heare the mic on the soundcard output.
but why does it not worke in gnomemmeeting? i have set up the devices to:
player / mixer:
/dev/dsp /dev/mixer
recorde / mixer:
/dev/dsp1 /dev/mixer1
(when i set all to dsp it works fine over the soundcard but not with the usb
microphone)
thanks for help.
alex
