Hi,

Many of you have requested it, I just added support for DMIX to the ALSA
plugin in OpenH323 CVS.

Basically, that means that it will be available in 1.0.1. That also
means that you will a new "Output Device" in the preferences called
"DMIX Plugin". If you select it, and if otehr applications are also
playing sound through that device, then all streams will be mixed
together achieving the same goal as a sound server.

Notice that the best sound quality is still achieved using normal
output, and not the DMIX plugins. If your soundcard natively supports
several output channels, then you do not have to use the DMIX plugin.

(a way to test is with aplay -D plug:dmix myfile.wav while being in a
call with gnomemeeting using the DMIX plugin)
