[GnomeMeeting-devel-list] Addressbook again

Hello to all,

Hakon proposed an enhancement to GnomeMeeting to have a quick access to
the contacts you are calling the most often through the menus without
requiring to access the addressbook.

He proposed to add a flag for each contact in the Edit contact or Add
contact dialog "[X] Display that contact in the favorites"
The favorites contacts are thus accessible from the Call menu or from a
drop-down menu accessible from the connect button.

As all engineers, I'm lazy and I have tought to 2 alternative solutions,
easier to code and to manage, but I have to know what is the best for
you.

Here are the 3 possible solutions:

1) As Hakon proposed, when you edit or add a contact, there is a
checkbox to determine if the user is part of the favorites or not.

2) All groups would have editable properties. The unique property would
also be a checkbox determining if the whole group has to be displayed in
the favorites or not.

3) We create one more group besides Friends, Work, Family that would be
called Favorites. When you add or edit an user, you can add it or remove
it from the Favorites. The Favorites member would automatically be
displayed in the drop-down menu.

I prefer solution 3 because it is :
- easy to code
- similar to solution 1 but more logical

However, it is perhaps less intuitive and it would require a better
naming than Favorites.

What's your advice?
