Control Center Designs

Since we've all been talking about design here, people may find the 
"GUIdebook" <http://www.guidebookgallery.org> to be a good resource for 
screenshots of many different past and present user interfaces. Taking 
a look through the Screenshots -> Settings section there are 
screenshots of many different Control Center and Capplet interfaces we 
could compare and draw inspiration from.

For example, it's interesting to note they have two separate sections 
for "Appearance" and "Desktop Themes", even though these things are 
often closely related. I would imagine one might expect to find the 
Menus and Toolbars option in an Appearance capplet, but definitely not 
in the Theme Manager. Perhaps we should start thinking about the use 
cases of these two programs so we know what options to put where.
