We have lost a true leader, I had the pleasure of working with Marina when I was part of the Gnome Woman Outreach Program back in 2011 and it was a pleasure working with her. This is really sad. To all her colleagues, friends and family I am sending light and love from South Africa in these sad times. Duduzekani akwehlanga olungehlanga!

That is absolutely devastating. She had such a positive influence on my life, and I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for her. I was part of the GNOME Outreach for women before it became Outreachy and I had the pleasure of meeting her at GUADEC. A great loss for everyone. She made the world a better place.
