Re: [gnome-women] Timeline for Gnome Women Outreach 2012

Hi Anna,

The timeline doesn't need to be very detailed for the Outreach Program for Women applications, because while we want the participants to have an idea about what they'll work on, we also want them to decide with the mentor about which tasks to take on as they go along, taking into account the priorities of the team and what tasks seem suitable. For Google Summer of Code, the timeline needs to be more detailed.

It is expected that a lot of testing will take place as you are working on the code and as your patch is being reviewed. You can mention that next to each task or as a general comment, if you like. You can also leave some time in the end of the summer to address any bugs related to the tasks you worked on.

Thanks,
Marina

Subject: [gnome-women] Timeline for Gnome Women Outreach 2012

Hello,
in the proposal, how should a timeline be?
Does every project need to have final testing?

How are they usually done?

Thanks,
Anna
