Guys,
Why are all the function description stripped from the GTK+2 Reference
manual? Example:
GTK+3 page has the descriptions that used to be in the GTK+2 manual:
https://developer.gnome.org/gtk3/stable/GtkWidget.html#gtk-widget-add-accelerator
But the same page for GTK2+ has had the function definition stripped:
https://developer.gnome.org/gtk2/stable/GtkWidget.html#gtk-widget-add-accelerator
There is no excuse for such petty "hide the description on the old version"
games in the day of terabyte storage devices. It is a pain in the ass to try
and debug an application to have to flip back and forth between two sets of
web pages just to find a needed function description.
Kindly restore the function descriptions to the GTK+2 documentation and
kindly provide a link to it from the main page at
https://developer.gnome.org/. There is a link to 4 there but not 2.
C'mon, it is quite clear everything is transitioning to 3, but to play this
game benefits no one, except maybe the ego of the person who deleted the
descriptions. (...Sad for Open-Source...)
