Unfriendly Light Colors in Web Design

More and more websites, including GNOME (e.g. https://www.gnome.org/contact/) use light gray text on a white
background, i.e. a low contrast design, which is possible today with high contrast screens.

This may be nice for young eyes, but it is a nuisance for older eyes and disabled persons.

While Firefox fortunately has a nocolor plugin to disable colors, this destroys the rest of the design.

So please consider to have the main text in plain old black text again to make it comfortable to read for
everyone. This is not a plea for a general high contrast design, just for the (small) main text.

Rainer

P.S.: E-book readers praise high contrast displays, for good reasons.
