Hi all,

to give a short status report on the translation im-/export work I worked
on at the dzug conference last week in Munich.
Reviewing the xliff package I realized that it won't work for our usecase.
It is not usable for doing an "in place" translation that xml2po does, it
uses two dom nodes (one for the source language and one for the target
language) for every translation unit.

I started to code a package that exports the content of objects as as html
files and binary data where necessary. Html files can be handled by xml2po
without modification. They will simply contain div blocks that have an id
attribute composted out of the UID, the field type and the name of the
field, like
<div id="a497971fa0181e78f5dff0d25178510d-ATField-text">...</div>.
So we end up with many html files (one for each language) that can be
uploaded one by one or in a tar.gz file.

I'll work on the package over the weekend and hope to get a working version
up next week.

..Carsten
