I have tried to enable this in the htaccess file:

with

Options +MultiViews +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch +IncludesNoExec

#Process .shtml as SSI (see the IncludesNoExec option):

AddType text/html .shtml
AddHandler server-parsed .shtml
</Files>


But it is not working. Any ideas?

I see this in 
/var/log/httpd/www.gnome.org/error.log
when trying to view the page:

Options +Includes (or IncludesNoExec) wasn't set, INCLUDES filter
removed
