This is my personal opinion.. I may be wrong..

I think that uploading to the FTP may cause some overhead. The GNOME FTP
is mirrored everywhere, and that could be too much for some videos.

Maybe you should apply for SSH access and a home directory, so that you
are able to upload these files to ~xaviblas, for instance. Anyway,
accounts gnome org or gnome-infrastructure gnome org are better places
to ask than this list.
